Hello Everybody,

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I will try to do better, which should not be very hard. But I did want to let you know I have a new blog. Hi,

Not much has gone on in the past couple of weeks I guess. I went to a Carolina Hurricanes game last week. It was ok, but we left after 2 periods. I also went to a corn Maze w/ some people from church. The first part was good, but then the corn got pretty low, so we were looking over the maze. We broke up into two teams and the team I was on beat the other team so that was nice. Not much else going on here. I've still been listening to Harry Potter on CD. I'm on the 3rd one now, and it's the best so far. They don't have the 4th one at the library now so I'll have to wait before I start listening to that one. I have already read it and I remember it was better than the first 3, and much longer so I'm really looking forward to it. I guess that's about it. I hope everyone else is having a killer time too. And I will talk to you soon.

I started my new campaign at work last week. I'm feeling pretty good about my decision about which way to go. I think this one will be pretty good. We've taken a few call already. The call are easy, I just don't know if I'm doing them right. But we just started so they won't be too hard on me yet, they'll just show me what I'm doing wrong. I did have one customer who was very upset and yelling at me and stuff, but it actually didn't bother me too much. I was just glad it wasn't something I did to make her mad. I think it will be a great improvement over DTV when I get use to it.

I've been listening to Harry Potter on CD this past week. I got it from the library and it has made my car rides much more enjoyable. I just finished though so now I've got to see if they have the next one. I've also been watching the U.S. Open, which was pretty good in my opinion, but that is over as well. I guess I will have to find something to keep me occupied. Hopefully something productive.

If you guys are looking for something fun to do on the 23 of this month you can take a trip on down to Winfield to Mule Day. It's pretty fun I guess, but probably not worth the 1.5 hour drive. But There will be a Mule Day run at 7:30am, so if your a runner your in luck. And the mules don't come out until after the run is over.

Well, I hope you all enjoy Mule Day. You'll have to tell me how it was. ttyl

I did go to the game last week. Shelley did not go, so it was just my brother and I. We had fun though, one of the bulls hit a grand slam! There were two other home runs hit by the other team as well. I think we won though, but we left in the 8th so I'm not positive. I called Francis to see if he wanted to go with us, but I didn't get an answer.

The next day when I picked him up for church I found out his phone was dead, and he was sitting at home all night with nothing to do. But we went to the lake with the college group after church. We grilled, and went on tubes and such. It was pretty fun. Francis said he had more fun than he did the whole time he was here. He had not had a chance to meet many people, but at the cook out there were about 25 people around our same age. But he had already decided he would be going back to Uganda on Monday, so unfortunately we won't have a chance to hang out again.

My campaign at work is moving, so they are trying to place everyone that worked on DTV in other areas. They offered me a job with Dada mobile, but I was reluctant b/c I hear it's mostly people calling in very upset b/c they're being charged for downloaded ring tones, that they "didn't order". I talked to my boss about other options so she gave me an interview with ViewSonic, which is tech support for monitors and such. She said I could choose from those. I decided to go with Dada mobile. I know the people are going to be very upset, but if I worked for ViewSonic, the people would be upset, and they would expect me to know how to fix whatever it is that's making them upset. And I figure I won't know how to do that very well at first so they would just get even more upset. With Dada Mobile, I figure I can just take it off there bill and they'll still be upset but I won't have to talk to them as long. I figure after a couple of weeks either way I'll start questioning my decision. But for now I'm happy to be moving away from tech support.

It's a beautiful day here. We had a storm yesterday, and a cold front came in so now the weather is much cooler, and sunny and nice. I want to do something outside to take advantage of the great weather but don't know what exactly. Maybe I'll figure something out.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for all your support and great advice during my difficulties last week. Luckily one of my co-workers took care of the problem for me. A couple of weeks ago I told Zaquavia about the gay guy. She's a really sweet girl, and was pretty ticked off about what happened. She encouraged me to "stand up to him" the next time he came by. And I was ready to do it. But he never came back by. This Wednesday she asked me if I had been having an issue with that anymore in a tone which told me she knew I had not. I guess she talked to the guy for me b/c I haven't seen him since. I was about ready to shut it down, but I'm glade she did it for me.

I guess it's been a pretty boring week other than that. My nephew, Andre, moved back to Virginia with his mom this week. He started school Friday. It's a little more relaxing at home for me now b/c I have been picking him up from day care right after work, and watching him a couple days a week. It's not too bad but it's nice to be able to come straight home and relax after work.

Also the colleges here just started back so my class at church has swelled. It's nice to have other people in the class, it was mostly older married couples for the past few weeks. I enjoy hanging out with the college group even though I'm not in college anymore. It's the closest match for me until I get married. And I think we're going out to the lake tomorrow and that should be fun. I haven't really done anything too exciting lately so that could be good for a change. I'm also thinking of going to the Durham Bulls baseball game tonight. It would have been nice to go when Andre was still here, but it should be fun with Shelley and Shawn as well. Nothing says summer like a baseball game.

I guess that's about all that's been going on lately. I hope you guys are having as much fun in AL as I am here.

Hi,

It's been another exciting week here in N.C. Just working, and finally started working out again. I've been using the excuse that I didn't feel well for a couple of weeks but after going to the doctor I really don't have an excuse, stupid doctor. Anyway I guess it's good to get my moneys worth out of the gym.
I haven't seen Adrienne since I've been back. She no longer works with me and lives about 45min away. Hopefully I will be able to hang out with her soon just don't know when. I have made a new friend though. I met a guy named Francis at the pool a couple of weeks ago. He's from Africa and is living with one of his friends. He doesn't have a car so I offered to take him to church. He came with me last week and I think he will continue to go with me until he goes back home. I would also like to hang out with him some time during the week b/c he doesn't know anyone and doesn't have a car to go anywhere.
I also have a new friend at work that I could do without. This girl I didn't know just came up to me one day and introduced herself and one of her friends. I just though that's odd that girl probably has a crush on me and just wanted to get to know me. I wasn't really interested in the girl but I was still flattered. But I was wrong she did not have a crush on me. Her friend did. And now HE, that's right HE comes over to my desk at work to say hi to me every day. I do not like that at all. But I ignored him the other day and he hasn't been by in a couple of days. I'm hoping he has got the picture. If he comes back again I will just tell him to stop talking to me. If anyone has any ideas on how to get gay guys to leave you alone let me know. I hope you all are having the best week ever and I'll talk to you later.

Hello,

I was in Al, last week and my trip wasn't' too bad. I only stayed for a couple of days, but it was good to hang out with the family. The drive down was not. I was still feeling sick, and 10 hours on the road didn't seem to help. Once I got there I started feeling a little better though probably that good Al air. And the trip back was a lot better. But because I had been feeling bad for about two weeks and at the request of several family members I did go to the doctor. He didn't really say what was wrong but he gave me some medication to take and I feel a lot better now.
I also heard from Adrienne on the way back and found out that she will not be going to school until January. Things didn't work out like she had hoped so she's going to wait a little longer. It seems like this will work out better for her though. And maybe I won't have to make new friends, sweet.
I have finally found a new book to read. I've been watching "Flip that house" Sunday nights on TLC(?), and it inspired me to read "Find it, Fix it, Flip it". The book makes it sound a lot more complicated than it does on TV, but the book is a how to guide, and the show is basically for entertainment purposes. I've also been watching tennis on TV, and there was a great match last night. Unfortunately Shelley and Shawn are thinking of getting rid of cable so I won't be able to enjoy these high quality programs for too much longer. But maybe it will make me smarter.
I'm thinking of going out with some of my co-workers tonight. A group is going to Bahama Breeze. I don't know who all is going, but if I can't think of anything else to do I may go too.

Hello Everybody,

I hope everyone is doing well. It seems like there is a lot going on right now. I think you all know that I will be coming home next week. I won't have much time to hang out before I head back, but still it will be nice to be back in AL for a little bit. And like I've said before, I think I'll try to come home in October, and look forward to seeing many of you at that time.

Last night I took Andre to Adventure Landing. It's a "fun"park that my company rented for the night. It was ok but not as good as "Frankie's". Andre had a fun time though, he played endless holes of mini golf, and I let him use his hands and feet, and skip the holes he didn't want to play. I guess I should be building more structure in him, but Shawn will do that the next time he takes him to play mini golf. We also played lazer tag, and he did some kind of blow up obstacle course. I liked that b/c I didn't have to do anything and he got to run around and have a good time. We also rode go karts, that was very fun, but after the first couple of turns Andre told me I was going to fast so I had to slow down. But in his defense, I can't remember riding a go kart that fast in a while, and when you came to a turn the thing would slide like crazy, very fun, but maybe not so much for a six year old.

originally Adrienne was going to go with me but we hung out the night before. Because she lives so far away and had to use her brothers car, she couldn't come two days in a row. But we had a good time, and it was better b/c we could talk without millions of kids all over the place. We went to Panera, and were going to see "Monster House" but b/c I was not feeling too hot we decided to go back to the apartment and watch "Finding Neverland" instead. She had been avoiding it b/c she heard it was sad, but we both enjoyed it. I really enjoyed hanging out with her and it may be the last time we get to hang out for a while. She's moving Friday and we probably won't be able to hang out this week b/c she's got to get ready to go. But if we don't get to hang out again before she leaves the last time was pretty nice.

Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I've had a chance to post anything. It's hard to get on the internet now, my computer at home is down. I don't know exactly what's been going on since I last wrote b/c it's been so long. But I'll just try to tell every thing.

Adrienne's last day was last week. Work has been ok since then. I have been dreading that day for a while, but when it came, it was not as bad as I thought. I guess it's not to bad right now b/c she is still around. She'll be moving to Florida in a week or so and now I'm dreading that. But I guess it will be ok, I will just have to be more outgoing and meet other people.

I think you all know I'm planning on coming down for my family reunion on Aug. 4th-6th. Unfortunately, I will not have a chance to see everyone while I'm down. I'll probably be spending the entire time w/ the family. I'm comming down with Shelley and Shawn, and they can't stay for more than the weekend so neither can I. But I may also come down in October and should have more time to hang out then.

My nephew is staying with us for the summer. It's pretty nice having him around, he has lots of energy. He always wants to gooutside and blow bubbles, or fly paper airplanes. I'm the best at making paper airplanes by the way.But anyway. The other day we went out to blow bubbles, and there was a birthday party with lots of kids. Andre goes out and starts blowing bubbles, and the next thing you know he's the most popular kid in the park. It was pretty fun playing with the kids and blowing bubbles for them and such, but shortly after Shelley called to have me pick her up, and it was not fun trying to get all Andre's stuff together and get him out of there. But after we got back Shawn was at home and he took Andre out b/c by now all the kids were at the pool and Andre wanted to go swimming with them.

I'm sure more has been going on since my last post, but I can't think of it right now, so I'll just try to post it as it comes to me. I hope everone is doing good, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello,

Wow, it's been a while since I've written. Apparently nothing exciting has been going on in N.C. But other stuff has happened so I'll fill you guys in on that.

My nephew(Andre 6) just arrived and he'll be spending the summer with us. It's nice to have some new energy in the house. It may be tough having someone so young in the house after having only adult's for so long. But I think it will be good. And he is a really good kid.

Work has been pretty much the same, I still don't really like it but I've not been motivated to continue to seek other employment. I have enjoyed spending time with my coworkers. I always go to lunch with my friend Tymeeka, and it's nice to just talk about whatever. She always jokes that her boyfriend is gonna beat me up. I don't know his exact proportions but he is BIG. But Tymeeka and I are just friends and even though I don't see him much Kareem(BIG) is pretty cool too.

I've also been spending more time with Adrienne. I really enjoy having someone I can talk to and fellowship with. Right now she is a little stressed b/c she is getting ready to go to law school. She'll be going to FL, so that makes it a little more difficult to get everything in order. Plus there is the cost of getting everything in order. But she is handling it very well. Probly better than me, it kinda stinks to know the person you've enjoyed spending time with so much will be leaving soon. But it won't be for a couple of months so I'll enjoy it while it last and cross that bridge when I get to it.

Some of my friends from church are leaving too. Brian, the guy I've been talking to most, moved to Iowa to take a job yesterday. And Chris will be traveling all summer and moving to Japan for a year or two in the fall. But there are other cool people at church as well. Ross is a history teacher and knows a lots of stuff. It's always good to talk to him and he is a very good conversationalist. He's kinda inspired me to pursue my masters in history, but not totally, I'm still deciding.

Hopefully I won't wait so long before posting again, but until then I hope you all are doing great.

Hello All,

I planned on posting something new on Wednesday, but I didn't find the time. I guess I'll have to think back to what's been going on the past week. Nothing much, Wednesday it rained for about 7 hours straight. I enjoyed that. As I was working I just looked out at the rain and it helped to relax me. Thursday was a nice day. The phones were down for the last 3 hours I was at work, so we all just talked, and colored, that was nice for a change. And Shawn and Shelley went back to Alabama to be in a wedding. They'll be back on Monday, but I've enjoyed having the place to myself. I haven't done anything different but it's nice to be able to come home be by myself and not have to talk. After talking all day at work I just need some quiet time, and quiet can be hard to come by when you have two roomates.
I worked for one of my co-workers from 6 to 3 today, so I didn't want to do anything last night. Maybe I'll find something fun to do tonight. Adrienne mentioned doing something but she had to get a fathersday gift w/ her brother and sister, so that just leaves me. I would like to do something b/c it is Saturday night, but sometimes it good to just relax too. And I guess this would be a good day for that since I do have the place to myself. Besides I'll play ball with the guys tomorrow so if I don't do anything tonight I guess at least I'll do something tomorrow.

Hello all

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I worked overtime, which wasn't very fun. But after that, Adrienne and I, went to Mellow Mushroom in Durham with Shawn and Shelley. It was nice to do something different for a change. And we had good fellowship as well. I found Durham was a very nice place to visit. There's a minor league baseball team right next to Mellow Mushroom, and a "river" runs through the plaza where everything is located. We didn't have much of a chance to explore b/c Adrienne had to drive back to Rocky Mount, and it was getting late. But I think I'll go back sometime and maybe even catch a ballgame.
I'm off work today and tomorrow b/c I switched schedules with one of my coworkers. I don't have too much planned but I'm sure I'll find something to fill the time. I finished my book so I need to find another to start reading. And I wouldn't mind catching a movie sometime either. I also need to be looking into grad school and taking the GRE. Who knows maybe I'll even check out the world cup. Gooooooooaaaaaaallllll!!!!!!!
Today was pretty good as well. I went to lunch with the college group and spent a pretty good bit of time just talking with the guys. I feel like I'm starting to get more plugged in with those guys and that always makes things better. I also took a bike ride w/ Shawn after church and it was nice to get out and enjoy the area at a slower pace.

I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday night I went to barns and Nobel and read. I guess it seems like a boring thing to do on a Saturday night, but it was nice to be able to read my book(angels and demands) and not worry about other things I would have to do. When I left b&n I stopped by McDonald's and had a wonderful meal. Quarter pounder it was great.
Sunday was good too. Church was ok, they honored the highschool graduates. I didn't know any of them so I didn't really care about what they had done over the past 18 years. I hope that doesn't make me a bad person. After church I went with the college group to eat at the Blackwell's house. It was a good time of food and fellowship. And Sunday night Shawn and I played b-ball with some of the guys from church. It was fun even though we are bad out of shape. It's always good to have an opportunity to fellowship with other Christians and it feels like I've had more opportunities to do that lately.
